How to make salt dough dinosaur fossils
Squash each of the circles of salt dough and then press a little dinosaur figure into it. When you remove the dinosaur toy you will be left with a dinosaur imprint.
The imprint you have created is your dinosaur fossil.
Leave the salt dough fossils to dry in a warm room for a couple of days or put them in the oven at a low temperature for a couple of hours. Turn the salt dough dinosaur fossils over to make sure both sides have dried out.
These salt dough dinosaur fossils were created by Harry aged 2. We loved making and playing with these fossils and a year later we still have them! We made fossils using lots of different types and sizes of dinosaurs. Harry also made the dinosaurs walk through the salt dough to create footprints.
We hope that you have as much fun as we did creating your own salt dough dinosaur fossils. If you have any salt dough left after making your salt dough fossils then check out our other salt dough crafts.
