Painted heart toast would be perfect for a Valentines day breakfast or snack. Its great fun to paint.... and eat! This is a fun activity for toddlers, preschoolers and older kids.

We had so much fun painting our firework toast that we decided to have a go at making some heart shaped toast.
We had so much fun painting our firework toast that we decided to have a go at making some heart shaped toast.
To make the 'paints' we added a tiny amount of food colouring to some milk. We mixed the 'paint' up in little pots and used new paintbrushes.
We used a large heart biscuit cutter to make our heart shaped bread. We even managed to get a few tiny hearts out of the off cuts that we made mini jam sandwiches with.
I left the paints and bread hearts on the table for Harry to make his edible artwork.
Harry enjoyed mixing the colours to make multicoloured hearts.......
....and I did a heart design.
We popped our bread in the toaster.......
......and enjoyed eating our artwork!
