Salt Dough Fingerprint Ladybird
Fingerprint Ladybird Craft - Supplies:
- Salt dough (we use this simple salt dough recipe)
- Red/ black acrylic paint
- Black sharpie pen
- Googly eyes
- Magnets
How to make fingerprint ladybird magnets
Start by making a batch of salt dough (using the salt dough recipe suggested in our supplies list). Divide the salt dough into several small balls and press down on them to create a ladybird shape. Bake in the oven at a low temperature for several hours.
Once cooled paint the salt dough red. Wait for the red paint to dry and then draw a black line down the middle. Paint one end of the ladybird black. Dip your child's fingers into black paint and add some spots onto the ladybird.
Once the paint has dried glue on some googly eyes on the front and a magnet to the back.
Our magnets are taking pride of place on our fridge. Take a look at the fingerprint butterfly magnets we made to go alongside them.
