Using natural playdough, autumn leaves, twigs and acorns we created a playdough jungle. My little boy was able to make marks in the playdough, use his imagination to design his jungle and role-play with his jungle animals.
We used a big piece of playdough (we used this playdough recipe) which we rolled out as the base. Harry made marks with the acorns by pressing them into the playdough. Then started adding the leaves, twigs and acorns we had collected.
He decide the bigger twigs and leaves could be the trees.
He pushed lots of acorns into the playdough as rocks.
He added a few more twigs, leaves and acorns to create his jungle, and then in came the animals.
Harry had a great time playing with his animals in the jungle. He had jungle animals hiding in the trees and lions roaring to scare people away!
