After Harry came home from nursery telling me there were tomatoes all over the wall I thought I had better explain to him what Remembrance Day was (in a very simple way) and that they were actually poppies.
You will need:
- A smooth surface (we used our glass table)
- Red/green/black paint
- Thick paper or cardstock
Mono Print Poppy Craft
I squirted some red paint onto the table and Harry had fun spreading it out.
He drew some circles in the red paint (well as close to circles as he can get!) and I put a small squirt of black paint into the middle of each circle.
We put a piece of paper on top of our circles and pressed it down.
We were left with this lovely design.
I cut the poppies out and stuck them onto a blue background and Harry painted a green stem for each poppy.
We also did a larger poppy where we painted the green stem straight onto the table.
