Heart Fingerprint Keyring
1. Roll the clay into a ball
2. Flatten the clay with a rolling pin until its about 0.5cm thick
3/4. Place your cutter onto the clay and cut out your shape
5. Press your child's finger onto an ink pad and then onto the clay. We did two fingerprints to make a heart shape. Make a hole in the top of the shape by pressing a straw through the clay.
6. Bake in the oven following the instructions on the pack of your chosen oven bake clay.
7. Add a keyring fixing (TIP: Use a pen to wedge the keyring fixing open as you slide it onto the heart)

ReplyDeleteAdorable!!!! Perfect gifts for love ones on Valentine Day...
ReplyDeleteSuch a good idea!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAm I missing something ... I'd love to make this, but doubt I could get the key ring thing into the hole without breaking the little heart.
ReplyDeleteI'd try making a big-enough hole with a satay stick before baking? :)
DeleteI made the hole with a straw so it was quite big and used a large key ring fixing. I opened the fixing by wedging a pen into it to keep it open and then just slid it on. It was quite easy but I think Fiimo is pretty strong anyway so it shouldn't break.
DeleteThanks, haven't used this type of clay yet. The pen trick sounds helpful, will try it out!
Deletehow many keyrings do you think you could make out of one pack?
