I have a totally BATMAN obsessed son so I was quite excited about making this Batman figure for him to play with. Can you believe that this Batman craft is just a painted cork? Cork figures are great to play with in imaginary small worlds.
To Make this cork craft you will need:
- Cork
- Pipe cleaner
- Black felt
- Acrylic paint
- Fine black sharpie

How to make a cork Batman figure
I started by making the ears for Batman's mask. I cut off 2 small pieces of pipe cleaner and folder them in half. Then I made 2 small holes in the top of the cork using a skewer. I put a bit of glue on the ends of the pipe cleaners and poked them into the holes.
I used acrylic paint to paint the bottom part of the cork dark grey for Batman's body and then I painted his face in a skin colour.
Once the paint had dried I used black paint to add on Batman's mask.
I waited for the black paint to dry and then used yellow paint to add on Batman's eyes and badge. The bat sign and mouth were drawn on later using a fine black sharpie. I finished Batman off by sticking a triangle of felt (with the top corner cut off) to the back of him for his cape.
Then Batman was ready to fight the evil villains of Gotham City!
Are you ready to make a crime fighting superhero?
