Count apples onto trees in this easy apple themed fingerprint counting activity. This fun autumn printable for preschoolers was inspired by the book 'Ten Red Apples' by Pat Hutchins. Apple Tree Fingerprint Counting Activity

For this apple counting activity you will need: 

• The book 'Ten Red Apples' (UK link / US link)
• Apple tree printable (scroll down for printable)
• Red paint

Apple Tree Fingerprint Counting Activity

Begin by downloading and printing out the apple tree counting activity.  We have two versions of the printable, one with numbers 1-9 and one blank for you to add your own numbers. 

Dip your finger into red paint to add the correct number of fingerprint apples to each of the trees. 

Young children will love getting messy with paint whilst working on their counting and number recognition skills. 

Don't want to get messy? A less messy alternative to this activity would be to add the correct number of red buttons or red pom poms to each of the apple trees.
