Footprint Bunny Craft - Directions:
If you are doing this footprint craft with a small baby and you don't want to use paint on their delicate little feet I would suggest using an inkless handprint and footprint kit. For older toddlers you may prefer to use paint. The card in the images was created using an inkless kit with a 7 week old baby.
We have included 2 versions of the 'some bunny loves you' printable template. For baby footprints you can use the smaller A5 card but for larger toddler feet you may need to use the larger A4 page.
How to Take Baby Footprints
The first part of this craft involves taking your baby or toddlers footprints. If you are using an inkless wipes like we did you will need to wipe it over your baby's foot and then carefully press your baby's foot onto the special paper that comes in the pack. I would defintely recomend using these wipes for wriggly little babies to save them getting covered in paint!
I have found that the easiest way to take baby footprints is to lay your baby flat on the floor. Put the paper you are printing onto on a hard surface like a book and then press the foot firmly onto the paper. It may take several attempts before you get the perfect footprint.
Bunny Footprints
To turn your baby or toddlers footprints into bunnies you will need to add ears and a tail. If you are using the inkless kit wipe it over your little finger and then press your finger above the heel to create ears. Older toddlers using paint may want to try painting on their ears themselves. For the tail glue on a white pom pom or button.
