How to make a DIY Candy Beer Mug
STEP 1: Gather all your supplies
Before you get started, make sure you have all your supplies gathered up for your candy beer mug. I prefer to do this before anything else so I'm not racing around looking for supplies while we make the craft.
Luckily, there are very few supplies with this one, you will just need the glass beer mugs, a chalk pen and some yummy candy!
STEP 2: Fill your mug with candies
Now that we have all our supplies - it's time to get started on our handmade father's day gift! Start off by filling your mug 3/4 of the way full with yellow candies of your choice. I went with butterscotch candies.
The goal with this part of your DIY candy beer mug, is to make it look like "beer" in a cup. Make sure to leave enough room for the marshmallows in the next step.
Young children will love helping with this step. Preschoolers could even work on their counting skills as they count the candies into the glass beer mug.

STEP 3: Top your mug with mini marshmallows
Now, it's time to top your mug up to the top with mini marshmallows! You'll want to fill the mug to the brim on this step of our easy Father's day gift idea.
This will be the "foam" of your beer mug for dad. If you'd like, you can wrap some ribbon or twine across the top of the mug and even add a label.
STEP 4: Write on your chalkboard label
Can you believe we're almost done? This handmade father's day gift is SO simple and easy to make, it takes less than 5 minutes and young children can feel that they have made it by themselves.
The last part of this easy Father's day gift idea is to write on your chalkboard label with chalk or your chalk pen. I would recommend using a chalk pen as it is much easier to write with. We chose to write "Dad", but you can write whatever you'd like on your DIY candy beer mug, Dad, Daddy, No.1!
Once you have added your label, you're ready to gift it to dad for Father's Day! He's sure to love this sweet treat on his special day and he can even continue to use the mug for his favorite beverages later.
