This is a fun sensory activity for toddlers and preschoolers and great for working on fine motor skills. Place the black playdough on a table alongside a bat cookie cutter, rolling pin, googly eyes and a little white playdough and invite your toddlers and preschoolers to make their own Halloween bats!
To make the bats, roll the black dough out flat with a rolling pin. Cut out bat shapes with the bat cookie cutter and push 2 googly eyes onto each bat. If you have some white playdough you may want to add fangs to your playdough bats by cutting two small triangles from white playdough to place on each bat.
Don't forget though that there is no right or wrong way to do this playdough activity. If your child wants to add 20 eyes to their bat or give it two heads let them! We often have the most fun when the kids come up with really silly and creative ways of making things!
