Directions to make your paper plate turkey craft:
STEP 1: Get all your supplies together
Before you get started with your paper plate turkey craft, gather up all your supplies! When doing activities with young children it is always good to have all your supplies to hand and prepared to avoid the chaos of running around looking for things.
STEP 2: Prepare the paper plate
Prepare the paper plate by cutting it in half. Then give your toddler or preschooler the paper plate to paint brown before setting it aside to dry.
STEP 3: Paint the coffee filter
Leave the coffee filter to dry and then cut it in half and glue it to the brown paper plate.
STEP 4: Prepare the turkey head and face
Cut a circle, small triangle, and wavy wattle shape out of the other half of the paper plate or from cardstock. Paint the circle brown, the triangle orange, and the wavy wattle shape red.
STEP 5: Finalize the turkey craft
Once everything has dried, assemble the turkey's face as shown below. Finish it off by glueing on two googly eyes, the beak, and the wattle.
