Marshmallow slime Recipe
Ingredients needed for marshmallow slime
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil of choice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (cornflour)
- 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
How to make marshmallow slime
STEP 1: Gather ingredients
Before you start making this edible slime recipe, gather up the ingredients you need as well as a mixing bowl and airtight container for storage.
STEP 2: Prepare marshmallows and oil
To begin, place the marshmallows in a microwave safe bowl and pour the oil over the marshmallows.
Heat in the microwave on high for 10 seconds at a time until they have softened. We heated for a total of 20 seconds in our instance. Carefully remove from the microwave and stir; a light fluff will begin to form.
STEP 3: Add cornstarch and knead
Next, stir in half the cornstarch quickly so the ingredients mix well before it cools. If the mixture is too runny and sticky, add the other half of the cornstarch.
Start working in the ingredients and knead until your slime has fully formed.
STEP 4: Play and stretch
Now it's time to stretch and play with your marshmallow slime! This edible slime recipe can be stored in an airtight container when not use (just add a few extra drops of oil to avoid it drying out).
We hope you have lots of fun with this marshmallow slime! This is one of our favourite edible slime recipes and is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers.
