How to make this paper flower craft
STEP 1: Gather your supplies
First and foremost, gather up all your supplies to make the process of making your flower paper craft much easier! There is a world of difference to how relaxing a craft is when you aren't running around trying to find things.
Don't forget to download and print the paper flower template. Have your kids choose their favourite colours for the paper flowers. Then, trace the patterns using the template and cut them out.
STEP 2: Prepare paper strips
To get started, cut a strip of paper and wrap it to form a ring by joining the ends. Continue with the remaining strips of paper.
STEP 3: Prepare paper flowers
Next, create crease lines on the flower cut outs by folding from one petal tip to the diagonally opposite petal tip. Lay one of the flower cut outs on top of the other one in a criss-cross arrangement and glue in place, as shown below.
STEP 4: Attach paper rings to flowers
Once you've done that, take a paper ring and attach it on the centre of the flower. One by one, attach the rest of the paper rings on the centre of the flower. This will form a fringed flower pattern as seen below.
Now, take the small round cut out and attach it on the centre of the flower pattern.
Repeat this process to create more flowers and cut out some small leaf patterns from green craft paper.
STEP 5: Assemble the flower wreath
Next, cut out the wreath base pattern from cardstock paper and start to glue the paper flowers on the wreath base.
Continue to attach paper flowers on the wreath base until it is completely filled with beautiful flowers! Once you're done gluing the flowers, glue the paper leaves around them. Allow time for the glue to dry and you're done.
