Fine motor activities for toddlers don't have to be complicated, in fact the simpler they are the better! You don't want to spend longer preparing an activity than your toddler does playing with it, and a toddlers attention span isn't that long! Having said that Ollie (aged 2) really enjoyed this pom pom drop fine motor activity and spent a fair bit of time playing with it.

Pom Pom Drop Directions
There is no prep involved with this pom pom drop fine motor activity. Simply grab a handful of pom poms and hand them to your toddler along with the plastic cup.
Encourage your toddler to drop the pom poms through the hole in the lid into the plastic cup. They will love watching them drop into the cup as it starts to fill up.
Ollie aged 2 is really into counting right now so we counted the pom poms in.
As toddlers pick up the pom poms and push them into the cup they will be busy working on their fine motor skills and hand eye coordination.
Follow your child's lead. They might want to add all the pom poms or add one colour at a time.
Ollie decided after a while that he wanted to put pom poms into the cup without using the lid.
The lid was used to trap the pom poms under it!
