How to make a stingray craft
STEP 1: Grab your supplies
First things first - make sure you have all your supplies! If you haven't downloaded the template yet, you can find that by scrolling down below. Getting everything ready ahead of time makes crafting so much easier and much less of a headache.
STEP 2: Prepare the template
Now, it's time to print the template on the appropriate coloured papers and then cut them out. You'll want to print the body on grey paper, the undersides on tan paper, and the eyes on white paper.
You can also mix it up by grabbing other mediums to get your child involved in. Colour them in, paint it, use some oil pastels, or something else entirely. Have fun with it!
STEP 3: Glue your stingray together
After your templates are ready, start gluing the pieces together. The tail goes behind the main body piece, the underbelly goes on the bottom, and the eyes go on the front (as shown below). Optionally, cut out and colour some papers for bubbles.
STEP 4: Paint an ocean
Ready to paint the ocean? Grab a white piece of paper and paint it in its entirety using blue watercolours. Set it aside and allow time to dry.
STEP 5: Finalise the stingray craft
Once the ocean background is dry, start gluing the stingray and bubbles down onto the paper. Once you've done that, your stingray craft is complete!
