Vampire colouring page - Instructions:
STEP 1: Download & Print.
The first thing you need to do to start this vampire craft is to grab our free printable vampire template!
Then, print it out and get all your supplies ready.
STEP 2: Start the fun!
Take the vampire template and invite your child to draw lines in each section of the template. You can help them practice different pattern or lines, start with the basics and build from there.
It's always a good idea to keep an eye on where your little one draws the lines. They should be within each designated area but don't emphasise this too much. It has to be a fun activity, after all!
You can of course miss out drawing the lines, and play around with using different colours in the sectioned of areas instead.
STEP 3: Leave certain areas white.
On this vampire template, there're some white areas like the eyes, fangs, and the shirt. Leave them empty of any lines.
STEP 4: Start to colour it!
Once your line portion of this activity is complete, it's all about colour. Using flesh-toned crayons or pencil or even paint, add colour to the vampires' skin.
You can use any other colours for his cape, bowtie, and the background, but we recommend using bold colours, it looks terrific! Hint hint: Remember to keep the white areas clean from the colouring part to make them stand out.
STEP 6: Finishing touches.
Once completed you may want to display your vampire colouring page for all to see! Cut any excess border off the vampire template and using glue, attach it onto a piece of black construction paper or cardstock.
This line art activity is a fantastic technique to explore with little ones developing their fine motor skills and exploring the use of line. And once they're complete, your kids can use this fun line art as Halloween cards or decorations! We hope you enjoy!
