What are Rangoli patterns?
Rangoli is an art form in India. It consists of making geometric designs on the floor using coloured sand, petals, flour, or even rice. It's an old and beloved tradition to make this during Diwali and other popular Hindu festivals.
We are not using any ingredients like flour or sand today, so there's no need to worry about cleaning up afterward.
We are keeping it simple today by using paper to make this bright and colourful kids Rangoli craft. We've added a template you can use to colour in the shapes to create your own Rangoli pattern or you can trace and cut out each shape in different coloured papers. Both options look equally eye catching!
