Glow in the Dark No Cook Playdough Recipe
Glow in the Dark Playdough - Ingredients:
- 1 cup flour
- ½ cup salt
- 2 tablespoons cream of tartar
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 cup boiling water
- Food colouring
- 1 teaspoon cosmetic-grade glow in the dark pigments
Glow in the Dark Playdough Recipe - Instructions:
STEP 1: Add dry ingredient.
Take your bowl and start by adding the flour, the salt, and the cream of tartar. Mix together.
STEP 2: Add liquid ingredients.
Boil the water and add the oil and stir gently. Then, add the oily water into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix everything well.
STEP 3: Knead and twist the dough.
By now you should have a sticky dough. Remove it from the bowl and start to knead it until it doesn't feel sticky to the touch anymore. Once that's done, divide the dough into several portions, one for each different colour you'll be making.
STEP 4: Colour the dough!
Take a portion of dough and make a small hole with your finger, add a few drops of food colouring and the glow in the dark pigment. Repeat for each colour.
STEP 5: Knead some more and charge.
Take each portion of dough and knead the dough until all the pigments and food colouring are smoothly integrated. Now you just need to charge your dough with sunlight and you're done!
This glow in the dark dough is soft to the touch and super fun to play with, but the magic happens once it’s charged... it will glow in the dark for hours!
We hope you're little ones have tons of fun making and playing with their own glow in the dark playdough using this easy no cook playdough recipe!
