As the winter season approaches, it's a great time to talk about the change in seasons. Part of which, is the snow on the ground in many areas! Preschoolers and Toddlers will love to imagine themselves in the snow with this fun winter art project. The photo snow globe craft really paints the picture as they see a photo of themselves inside a snow storm.
To add to the Christmas spirit, you could use a photo of them in a Santa or Elf costume! The snow globe template makes this craft so easy, so why not play around with the photos you use?

Photo Snow Globe Template Craft
Snow Globe Template Craft supplies:
- Snow globe template
- Coloured craft paper
- Watercolour paints
- White paint
- Q-Tips (also known as cotton buds or swabs)
- Photograph
- Scissors
- Glue
How to make a photo snow globe craft using our snow globe template:
STEP 1: Prepare your supplies
Before you get started, make sure to prepare your supplies so they're ready to go. Download and print the snow globe template as well as your child's photo. You can find the template by scrolling down below. When selecting your child's photo, try to use a full-length image for best results.
You could even ask older children to pose for their photographs. Could they pretend to throw a snowball or pretend they are trapped in the snow globe? If you don't have a photograph you could draw a picture as an alternative.
STEP 2: Paint snow globe template
To get started, paint the sky of your snow globe template with blue watercolours and set it aside to dry.
After the blue paint dries, invite your toddler to blot the page with white paint using Q-Tips or their fingers. These will resemble the snowflakes in the snow globe. Set it aside to dry.
STEP 3: Add your child's photo
Cut out your child's body from the selected photo and glue it inside the snow globe template.
STEP 4: Glue onto craft paper
Cut around the snow globe template edges and glue to coloured craft paper, folded in half for a card. Write a message inside and now you have a cute Christmas card to gift to friends and family!
