How to Make a Homemade Apple Bird Feeder
Apple Bird Feeder - Supplies:
- 1 apple
- birdseed
- peanut butter
- jute cord
- 1 straw
Homemade Apple Bird Feeder - Instructions:
STEP 1: Prep your supplies.
STEP 2: Cut the string.
Cut a jute cord string, making sure it'll be long enough for hanging each apple slice. Keep this aside for later.
STEP 3: Add the peanut butter.
Take the apple slices and cover each one with a thin layer of peanut butter and then press the apple slices into the birdseed to coat the peanut butter with the bird seed mix.
STEP 4: Put your apple bird feeder together.
Grab the jute cord and run it through the hole of each apple slice. Continue by hanging the slices separately somewhere outdoors, or alternatively you can tie them together.
Two or three apple slices per string work well! You can also add apple slices to your string.
Once the birds are fed if you have any apples left why not use them to make an apple charcuterie board as a tasty treat. Simply slice apples, add dips and toppings and dig in! It's not fair if the birds get all the treats!
