Popsicle stick snowflakes - Instructions:
STEP 1: Paint your popsicle sticks
Grab your materials! Get 2 jumbo craft sticks and 2 normal-size craft sticks for each snowflake you want to make and paint them with acrylic paint in whatever colour you choose.
We decided to use purple, a light shade of blue and a darker blue. After painting them leave your popsicle sticks to dry before moving on to the next step.
STEP 2: Make your popsicle stick snowflake shape.
Now it is time to make the snowflake shape from your painted popsicle sticks. Add a few dots of glue onto the jumbo sticks and attach them together, forming a '+' sign
Glue one normal-sized popsicle sticks diagonally in the empty space between the jumbo sticks '+' shape.
Then, glue the other normal-sized popsicle stick in the other direction.
By now your jumbo sticks should make an '+' shape and the normal-sized sticks an 'x' shape. You have now created your snowflake shape.
STEP 4: Add embellishments!
Now that your snowflake's shape is ready, you need to decorate it with some sparkles! Add sequins, gems, glitter, or whatever you have at hand with some glue and make this snowflake stand out.
You may want to find a big gem or a cute button and glue it in the centre of your snowflake.
And your popsicle stick snowflakes are all done and ready to be shown off!
If you want to hang them for display, simply take twine and make a loop out of it. Place it on the back of the snowflake and glue it on.
