Plastic Easter Egg Painting - Directions
STEP 1: Prepare your paper.
Let's begin, shall we? First, you need to layout the paper you'll be using. You can go for a large paper roll, small pieces of paper, or cardstock. I love using a large paper roll so children can work on a large scale, this is especially beneficial when working with a group of children.
If you want to add an extra fun element, you can always grab our egg templates to stamp your paint covered plastic eggs onto. An egg shaped Easter painting could be used to make a fun Easter card for toddlers or preschoolers to gift to a loved one!
STEP 2: Add the colour.
Take your paint and squirt different paint colours onto the paper plate (or onto the painting palette, if you're using one). You will need enough of each coloured paint to fit the base of a plastic egg.
STEP 3: Start printing with your plastic eggs!
Now it's time for the painting! Invite your little ones to join the fun and give them the plastic eggs. Break the plastic eggs in half and then dip the them into the paint. You can even match the colours of the eggs to the paint if you wish!
STEP 4: Make your pattern.
Once your plastic eggs are coated in paint, encourage little ones to use the eggs to stamp onto the paper. This will create some awesome circle shapes!
Repeat! Mix colours, make patterns, enjoy the process!
Mix and match contrasting colours, create patterns by positioning the eggs in different ways, and have fun making this adorable Easter art!
