Fine Motor Tape Rescue Activity – Directions:
STEP 1 - Choose your animals
Let's begin! Start by preparing the animals that you would like to use for this activity. You could use zoo animals as we did, farm animals, woodland animals or even insects or sea animals. You could even use a combination of them all!
STEP 2 - Tape down the animals
Cut pieces of tape that are slightly larger than your animals. Then tape the animal toys down onto a hard surface, like a table or tray, using the tape. You can use different pieces of washi tape in several colours and patterns to make it even more eye-catching for the kids!
STEP 3 - Playtime!
Once all your animal toys are taped down, invite your child to rescue the animals by lifting the tape. Keep going until you have rescued all the taped animals.
Add an educational spin to this fun fine motor activity by teaching your kids the names of each animal toy, their colours, where they live, and more!
And there you have it! This cute fine motor activity for toddlers is easy-breezy to set up and kids will have lots of fun! We hope you and your little ones love this animal tape rescue activity. Enjoy!
