Rudolf Line Art for Kids - Instructions:
STEP 1 - Get your printable Rudolf coloring page
For this coloring activity, head down to the bottom of this post and grab our Rudolf coloring page. You will needto print it onto thick white paper or thin cardstock.
When you've printed out your Rudolf coloring page, prepare the surface on which you and the kids will be working and gather the rest of your materials.
STEP 2 - Add lines to your Rudolf coloring page
Here's where the fun begins! The first step (which is optional) is to fill in all the sections on the template with thin black lines. I would suggest using a ruler. Try to make the lines in each section go in different directions, this will make the drawing more interesting. (see image below)
STEP 3 - Color your Rudolf coloring page
Your Rudolf is now ready to be colored! Use can use markers, crayons or watercolour paint to add colour to your Rudolf coloring page. We went for crayons. For Rudolf's body and antlers, we used browns, red for his nose, and pink to add some color to his inner ears. For his collar, we used yellow and green.
To create a striking contrast, we chose a light blue background color. Rudolf's famous cute nose really pops off the page, doesn't it?
You can of course be as creative as you like and use all the colors of the rainbow if you wish!
We encourage you to let your kids chose their favourite colors and explore their creativity when coloring their Rudolf. You can even pull up images of real reindeer or other Rudolf illustrations, so you're kids can get color inspiration!
STEP 4 - Frame your Rudolf colouring page
Once your Rudolf is complete, you can take it up a notch and frame it if you wish. To do this, you can take a piece of black cardstock sheet a bit larger than your finished Rudolf coloring page and glue your coloring to the centre.
And that's all it takes to make this adorable Rudolf coloring page line art project!
