- 3 ziplock bags
- 2 cups old cereal

- cookie sheet
- parchment paper

How to setup your taste safe sensory bin
STEP ONE: Prepare your supplies and ingredients
Before you get started, you'll want to lay out your supplies so you have everything you need. It makes activities like this so much easier!
STEP TWO: Grind cereal & colour noodles
To get started, crush the cereal into a fine powder so it looks like sand. You can use a grinder, blender, or food processor for this.
Pour 1/3 cup vinegar into a small bowl and add drops of blue food colouring. Stir and keep adding colour until you get a dark, rich colour.
Place 1/3 of the dry noodles into a ziploc bag and pour the vinegar into the bag. Shake until it's well coated on the noodles.
Repeat these steps for remaining colours.
STEP THREE: Dry out noodles
Pour the noodles onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and leave overnight to dry out.
STEP FOUR: Set up and play
Once the noodles are dried out, carefully separate noodles that are stuck together. Then setup your taste safe sensory bin by laying out the sand and noodles for your child to explore.
