Toddlers and preschoolers always seem to love animals and farm animals are no exception. It would be fun to make this cow handprint whilst learning about cows or even visiting a farm to see some cows first hand.
Below you will find a step-by-step tutorial on how to make this handprint cow craft for toddlers and preschoolers. There is unfortunately not a template for this craft, but you can see the shapes we cut out to create it in the image below.

Handprint Cow Craft
Cow Handprint Supplies:
- Construction Paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Black Marker
- Pencil
Cow Handprint Instructions:
STEP 1: Cut out the pieces for your handprint cow
Invite your little one to place their hand flat down onto a piece of white construction paper. Trace the handshape and cut the shape out with scissors.
Then cut out the shapes for your cow's body and face. Unfortunately, we don't have a printable template for this craft, but you can use the image below as a guide.
You will need a white head shape, tail and ears, pink inner ears, brown for the mouth area, yellow horns and a few black patches for cows the face and body, as well as a black teardrop shape for the end of the tail.
STEP 2: Put your cow craft together.
Now you have all the pieces cut out you're ready to glue each shape to another until you have your cow formed! You will also need to use a marker to draw your cow's facial features. Use the images as a guide.
Why stop at making one handprint cow craft. These would look great on a bulletin board, especially if you make different coloured cows!
