Dinosaur Painting - Supplies:
- Paint
- Cotton Balls
- Clothespins
- Contact Paper
- Thick White Cardstock
- Dinosaur template
Cotton ball painting dinosaur art - Instructions:
STEP 1: Get your dinosaur template.
To start off this awesome dinosaur craft you first have to download our free dinosaur printable! Once it's printed out, go ahead and cut the template out and make sure you have all the supplies nearby.
STEP 2: Cut the dinosaur shape out of contact paper.
Trace the shape from the dinosaur template onto the contact paper and carefully cut out the shape.
Then stick the dinosaur shape you just created on the contact paper to the cardstock. To do this, simply peel off the backing from the contact paper and attach it to the cardstock smoothly.
STEP 3: Paint using cotton balls!
Take your cotton ball paint brushes and dip them into different paint colours. Go wild here and let the kids have fun choosing their favorite shades. Use a different cotton ball paint brush for each paint colour.
Dab the cotton ball paint brushes onto the cardstock. Keep on dabbing the cardstock until it's fully covered with paint. Let it dry completely.
STEP 4: Your dinosaur painting is complete!
Now for the big reveal! Peel off the contact paper and you'll see your dinosaur in its final form!
And there you have it! Your mini-paleontologists will have a blast making their own dinosaur art, that's a given.
