How to make a skeleton craft
STEP 1: Gather your supplies
Before you get started on your skeleton craft, make sure to gather up all the supplies you will need. For each skeleton you plan to make, you'll need 3 regular-sized craft sticks and 6 mini-sized craft sticks.
STEP 2: Paint your craft sticks
Once you have your supplies, invite your child to help paint all the craft sticks with the white paint. Let the paint dry completely before moving on to the next step.
STEP 3: Assemble your skeleton craft
Time for the fun part -- assembling your skeleton craft! Take your black paper and glue one of the regular craft sticks vertically in the centre. This will resemble the spine of your skeleton.
Next, glue 3 of the mini-sized craft sticks horizontally across the spine to resemble the ribs. Then, glue one more towards the bottom to resemble the hips.
Glue a mini craft stick towards the top on each side as shown below to resemble the arms.
For the legs, glue 2 regular sized craft sticks on each side towards the bottom as shown below.
STEP 4: Add the final details
Now for the final details of your skeleton craft! Use the white paint pen or a marker to draw fingers at the tips of the arms and feet at the tips of the legs.
To finish it up, draw an oval shape for the head and color it in. Glue on the googly eyes for the final touch!
We hope you had a lot of fun with this craft stick skeleton craft. It's the perfect craft for learning about the human body or just for fun with Halloween coming up. Toddlers, preschoolers, and big kids are all sure to have lots of fun with this one.
