How to Make An Apple Dipping Charcuterie Board
STEP ONE: Gather your ingredients
Before you get started, you'll want to gather up all the supplies and ingredients you'll need. I find with things like this that require quite a few ingredients, it's easier if you have everything prepared ahead of time.
If you don't have some of the toppings in the ingredients list feel free to swap them for an alternative of your choice.
STEP TWO: Prepare your ingredients
To get started, you'll want to prep your apples by cutting them into 1/2-inch slices. Be careful not to cut them too small or they will break apart when trying to put them on the bamboo sticks. Add the water and lemon juice to a bowl and soak the apple slices for about 5 minutes. This will ensure the apples don't turn brown as quickly.
While the apples are soaking, you can continue to prep your other ingredients. Chop the snickers bar into small pieces as shown below.
Next, combine the marshmallow fluff and cream cheese in a mixing bowl using a stand mixer. Mix on medium-high speed for 1-2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
After the apples have finished soaking, remove them from the bowl and place them on a paper towel to soak up any excess water. Add bamboo sticks to some of the apples while leaving some of them available for quick dipping without the sticks.
Right before you're ready to serve, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second increments. Make sure to stir in between each time.
Add your coconut flakes, chopped candy, and sprinkles to cupcake liners. Make sure all your sauces are in small serving bowls.
STEP THREE: Assemble apple charcuterie board
Now it's time to assemble your apple dipping charcuterie board! Start with placing down the dipping sauces around the edges. Then, fill in the spaces with your cupcake liners filled with coconut flakes, candy, sprinkles, and any other options you've chosen to add. Add your apples around the missing space on your board.
You should be left with a result much like the one shown below.
STEP FOUR: Enjoy dipping your apples!
Now it's time to enjoy your apple charcuterie board! Take an apple slice dip into your desired sauce and add your desired topping.
- Don't have a serving board? Try using a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, a standard cutting board, or other serving tray you have lying around.
- Experiment with sauces and toppings! Try using different kinds of sprinkles, additional toppings you enjoy, or different types of candy melts.
- Create a theme to go with your board: for the upcoming Halloween season, you could use Halloween-themed sprinkles, black and orange candy melts, or any other fun ideas. You could also add peppermint or go with a red and green theme for Christmas!
We hope you have lots of fun with this apple charcuterie board idea! There are so many fun ways to do this with your kids. You could even pair this delicious treat with a fun story or apple-themed activity. Kids of all ages are sure to love this!
