Reindeer Craft Supplies
- clothespin
- small pompom - red
- pipe cleaner - brown or gold
- Christmas ribbon
- small googly eyes
- glue (use a glue gun for best results)
- thin black marker
How to Make a Clothespin Reindeer
STEP ONE: Gather your supplies
Before you get started on your reindeer craft, make sure to gather up all your supplies. It makes things so much easier when everything is ready to go!
STEP TWO: Make reindeer antlers
Start by cutting your pipe cleaner in half and twisting it into a v-shape. Then, wrap each end of the pipe cleaner around a pencil to create curls. Glue it into place on the mouth of the clothespin, as shown below.
STEP THREE: Make the reindeer face and body
Next, use the black marker to draw a line down the middle of the clothespin starting at the hinge to create the legs of your reindeer. Colour in the bottom to act as the hooves.
Glue the red pom pom nose and googly eyes under the antlers as shown below.
STEP FOUR: Add the reindeer scarf
To finish up your clothespin reindeer, cut a piece of Christmas ribbon and glue it around the hinge of the clothespin. Use a glue gun for best results. Your cute reindeer clothespin craft is now complete!
Optional: add a thin piece of string to hang your reindeer craft on a tree as an ornament or glue on a magnet to use for hanging artwork on the fridge.
