How to make a paper plate snow globe


STEP ONE: Prepare the paper plates


Start by cutting the centre out of one of the paper plates and painting it with light blue paint. Set it aside to dry.

Next, cut a large circle shape from blue paper to cover the centre of the other paper plate. Attach it using double-sided tape or a glue stick.

STEP TWO: Create the snowglobe scene


Now that your paper plates are ready, it's time to create the scene for your snow globe! Start by cutting two round oval shapes that are curved on one side as shown below. Additionally, cut two tree shapes from different shades of green paper.

Glue them in place as shown below. You'll want the round shape to be towards the bottom and the trees in the left corner.

Next, put together the snowman by cutting two small circles from white paper and gluing them in place. Cut a hat shape from the black paper and glue it on the top circle. Then, use markers to draw the final details.

Glue the snowman in place off to the right side. Glue the other oval shape so that it looks like snowy mountain hills.

STEP THREE: Assemble the snowglobe


The last part is putting together the snow globe! Cut a snowglobe stand shape from brown paper and glue it towards the bottom of the paper plate.

Glue the other paper plate that you painted and left to dry in STEP ONE in place as shown below using a glue stick.

Finish off the craft by gluing some pom poms along the bottom edge of the snow globe scene.

  • Make a dancing snowman by gluing your cut-out snowman to a craft stick and leaving an opening at the bottom of your snow globe!
