Printable Space Themed Craft for Kids
Space craft supplies
- Space template (Printed onto thin white card.)
- Coloured Pencils
- Scissors
- Glue
How to make the space craft
STEP 1: Prepare your supplies
First of all get all your supplies together, then print the template onto thin white card. You can find a link to the template below these directions.
STEP 2: Color the space template
Now you can really start the craft! Choose your favorite pieces from the space template and start by coloring them in the colors of your choice. You could use realistic colors or be as creative as you like, you could even make the moon green!
Alternatively, instead of using pencil crayons, you could use paints or markers. You could even add pieces of collage to the template to add extra texture.
STEP 3: Cut out the space template
Now cut out all the pieces you've colored in, your child may need help with this step.
Once you have cut out all the pieces lay them out and get ready for the next step.
STEP 4: Complete space scene
Fold the tabs back to make all the pieces from the space scene stand up. Most of the pieces have the tabs attached, but for the space rocket, you will have to cut out the tab separately and glue it to the back of the space rocket.
Once all your space pieces are finished, your child can make their very own space scene! Have fun moving the pieces about and trying out different options.
