We love easy crafts and this apple print pumpkin craft is definitely that! Toddlers and preschoolers will love making painty prints using an apple as a stamp and they can have lots of fun decorating them once their prints are dry.

Often toddlers and preschoolers will enjoy the process of stamping the apple so much that they end up with smeared prints or lots of prints on top of each other. This is all part of the fun of creating, but if you want to end up with recognizable pumpkin prints it is a good idea to have two pieces of paper, one for covering with prints and one for a few carefully placed prints.

TOP TIP: When apple stamping it can help to push a popsicle stick into the apple once it has been cut in half to create a handle for small hands to hold.

STEP 2: Make your apple prints

Repeat this process until your piece of paper is full of prints. Leave your apple prints to dry.

STEP 3: Turn your prints into pumpkins

Once the paint has dried use crayons to turn your apple prints into pumpkins! Use a brown crayon to draw a stem on the top of each print and then draw ridges on the pumpkins.

At this stage, you may also want to color in any gaps in the pumpkins using an orange crayon.  Use a green crayon to add leaves.
